SHANGHAI, September 14, 2018 – Labbrand was invited by MARQUES to present at the China International Trademark Festival on Alphabetic Naming for Globalization, which draws over 2000 intellectual property professionals, lawyers and brand owners.
Labbrand Creative Director, Judy Wang, shared the recent impacts of more engaged consumers and more visible B2B brands on Alphabetic Naming trends along with the theme of “The New Language of Brand Naming.” Wang suggested that brands create unconventional names to secure unique marks, which can help to stand out in digital media and attract a new generation of global consumers. She further proposed proactive steps to anticipate and secure brand equity for B2B and B2C brands.
Chinese brands aiming to expand internationally brought up many interesting questions that led to a lively debate. Wang shared that “it is great to meet worldwide legal experts and witness the strong vibe in Chinese trademark innovation. The fast growth of the Chinese economy activates a lot of new possibilities and challenges, which provide precious insights for our client services in terms of trademark creation and evaluation.”
