SHANGHAI, November 10, 2023 – Today marks the end of the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. Broadening his views on the Chinese market and how Chinese consumers perceive international brands as shared via a CGTN interview, Labbrand Group’s CEO & Founder, Vladimir Djurovic, was cordially invited by GL Events to serve as a distinguished speaker to unveil the latest consumer insights on Sustainability Communications in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands. The session attracted professionals from prominent companies, eager to learn more about championing Sustainability and inspiring positive change through branding and communications.
Titled ‘Why Sustainability Communications Matter’, the session was a prelude to Labbrand’s upcoming White Paper that addresses the increasing importance and role of Sustainability Communications, as well as the extent of its impact on consumer behaviour and purchase consumption.
Djurovic identified 5 key Sustainability Communication themes and its respective semiotic codes based on a comprehensive analysis of more than 26 international CPG brands across various categories and a study with 300 consumers in Singapore on their relative performances. Each of the 5 themes reflects certain characteristics of brands that vary impact on 3 universal fronts – Consumer Appeal, Sustainability Interest and Purchase Adoption. The session served as a valuable opportunity to gain a better understanding of how exemplary brands drive success through these themes, offering insights that empower brand owners and managers to revisit and strengthen their Sustainability Communications for relevance in the future.
